It's an amazing place to go as a couple or as a family, Andrea was the best server and a plus she speaks Spanish and that make us comfortable, food was also delicious and drinks over the top! It's definitely a place to came back frequently
The food is AMAZINGGGGG! Highly recommend the Mac & cheese with blackened chicken, you will literally scrape every last bit of cheese in the bowl. The steak… the steak is impeccable the mashed potatoes and asparagus are delicious. I also had their version of espresso martini and you may only need 2 to do the job . Food was outstanding! Salad with the blackened chicken and fried goat cheese was 10/10! Drinks were perfect. Main dish was the pork sliders. So yummy!
Wow. We came on a Saturday night, beautiful ambiance, suggest to get a reservation. We had the new beef brisket taco that has now taken the place of the Al Pastor one. That cilantro lime rice?????? WOW. The tacos were so flavorful, such a good time, I absolutely cannot wait to go back. I might just eat one plate and take another home.
This was our first time at Allegory, and we decided to sit at the bar and, we're so glad we did! The food was incredible, the drinks were excellent, and the service was even better. Madeline made us feel right at home from the moment we sat down. She was friendly, attentive, and truly made our experience memorable. If you're visiting Allegory, do yourself a favor and grab a seat at the bar—Madeline will take great care of you! From the mezcal girlie you brightened my day. As a former restaurant employee, I know how valuable exceptional hospitality is, and Madeline is an absolute gem. The restaurant is lucky to have her, and we'll definitely be back!
I love the concept of this restaurant. The food is excellent. The carrot cake waffles is a must have, but ours was dry, they went real light on the sauce. My tacos were extremely soggy, but awesome flavor. My wife's chicken sandwich was incredible. There is room for a lot of improvement in the service. The server took 5 minutes to come to the table, and our drinks sat finished at the bar for almost 10 minutes. My old fashioned was watered down and sad. The table next to us had all empty drink glasses including water. They had to go to the bar and ask for a drink. I felt like the bartenders were intentionally letting the over whelmed server fail. I can't imagine recommending or returning here. There are too many places that provide good service and great food.
First time in and we had lunch. Loved the exposed brick walls and skylight and atmosphere. We had a variety of sandwiches and enjoyed them all (tuna melt, reuben, and yum yum chicken). Truffle fries and house fries were also great! Drinks were excellent as well! Waitress was very sweet and attentive. We would definitely go back!
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome. The establishment features a gorgeous, elegant bar and beautiful Edison bulb string lights throughout. We visited the week before Valentine’s Day, and the holiday decorations were a lovely touch. Our waitress was new, but she was clearly well-trained and brought excellent experience to the table. While the menu is small, it offers plenty of high-quality farm-to-table options. We ordered the Chicken and Waffles, which had a perfect balance of sweet and salty—highly recommended! I didn't see them on the menu, but I asked for Brussels sprouts; they were incredibly savory and should definitely be a menu staple. We also loved the unique touch of having different designs and shapes for all the plates. We finished dinner with the waitress-recommended chocolate cake, and she was absolutely right—it was amazing!
The food was awesome! Some of the best salmon I have ever had! They have many glitch and free options, this is a safe place for those who have celiac and I'm worried about cross-contamination. Our waitress was familiar and well aware of dietary concerns for those who have celiac. Highly recommend!
Excellent place! I have come here twice and both times have been memorable experiences. I had the "Hold my birr-ia" this time which was a fancy sandwich (see photo). It was pricey at $19, but we'll worth it. The ingredient quality was excellent as expected since it is a farm-to-table restaurant. Portion size was great - I had enough for leftovers for a quick breakfast the next day. My wife ordered the mac and cheese and says it's the best we have ever had - this is coming from someone who has ordered mac and cheese from all over the country. My dad is a vegetarian and had a good salad that I took a bite out of as well. My mom loved the quiche as well. Well worth the slight premium costs to get farm-to-table, high quality ingredients. I have never had anything less than excellent here! This will be my go-to when visiting naperville.
